We are LifeChance
LifeChance Corporation was founded exclusively on the principle of youth exposure. All too often it is witnessed that a child can become a product of their circumstances when exposure opportunities for success are limited. The question was posed: Is there a way to alter the circumstances of an inner – city underprivileged youth? LifeChance Corporation sole mission is dedicated to the development of youth and enrichment of their lives through exposure. LifeChance Corporation is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, founded in 2005 by Chantel Runnels. As an organization founded by an inner – city native, the impact of exposure and broadening the perspective of youth was demonstrated and proven to increase chances of success academically, emotionally, and physically. LifeChance has worked across the Metro Atlanta area partnering with neighborhood schools to identify youth who have survived within the margins. Collaborating with both parents and students to facilitate opportunities for mentoring, internships, and exposure through travel. It is hard to dream of something if you have not been exposed to it. The concept of exposure is a requirement in the lives of underprivileged youth and underserved communities. LifeChance is foundationally premised in the concept of exposing youth to opportunities and facilitation of critical resources to their families in hopes of expanding their aspirations and thought processes so that generations may begin to change. Underserved communities are often a result of generations of perpetual behavior; in the information age with technology easily available Life Chance works to integrate technology, exposure, and servitude to broaden the horizons of Metro Atlanta youth.
